Fancy a Drink?

Do you agree with this statement? “Couples Who Drink Together Stay Together”. Believe it or not, a new study has revealed that couples who drink together tend to have happier relationships than those who don’t drink together. In addition to this statement, this study also suggests that they stay together longer because they like to have a regular tipple together.

The recent study consisted of nearly 5,000 married couples who had been in a relationship for 33 years or more. Each couple was asked questions relating to their drinking habits. It found that men drink much more than women do, and also found that out that the couples who drank together had happier lives and relationships.

One thing it also found which we can all understand is, that when one person in the relationship drinks a lot more than the other, it can cause strain and unhappiness in the relationship, this is exceptionally evident in women. Let’s face it, who wants a drunk around the whole time, not me.

I guess it all boils down to spending time together, maybe its a sports activity or knocking back a few bottles of wine at the weekend, spending time with the love in your life makes you and your relationship a better one.

So make sure you make some quality time for your partner this weekend.

Happy Drinking!
